UC CONAHS Faculty and Affiliates Participate in BSU Student Research Congress

Faculty members and affiliates of the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences participated in the 18th Benguet State University College of Nursing Student Research Congress held on May 15, 2026, at the BSU Gymnasium.

With the theme, “The Everlasting Nurse: Advancing Research, Innovation, and Technology for Future Healthcare, Where Compassion Meets Discovery,” the congress gathered educators, healthcare professionals, and student researchers in a shared commitment to advancing nursing research, innovation, and compassionate healthcare practice.

Among the participants were Dr. Jude L. Tayaben and Ervina Luisa Campus, who served as members of the organizing committee representing Benguet State University. Both are also affiliated with UC CONAHS as part-time faculty members while concurrently serving as educators at BSU.

Representing the panel of evaluators were Assistant Professor Gilbert D. Bernardino Jr. and Jocelyn Erorita-Dela Vega. Ms. Erorita-Dela Vega previously served as an instructor at UC CONAHS and is currently affiliated with Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center. Joining them as fellow evaluators were Lea Pancho-ongan and Phoenix Dicdican-Tayni from Mountain Province State University.

The congress showcased various student research presentations featuring innovative healthcare ideas, emerging technologies, and evidence-based approaches that address present and future healthcare challenges. The activity also strengthened collaboration among academic institutions and healthcare professionals while promoting a culture of research and innovation among future nurses and allied health professionals.
