Level III students from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences actively participated in an Immunization and Circumcision activity held at Barangay Sagpat, Kibungan on May 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The outreach activity was headed by Dr. Hydre Nga-ew, Municipal Health Officer, in partnership with the local health unit to provide essential healthcare services for children in the community. A total of 22 children underwent circumcision during the whole-day medical mission, while immunization services were also provided to eligible residents as part of ongoing public health efforts in the municipality.

Representing the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, the Level III nursing students rendered assistance throughout the activity under the supervision and guidance of Clinical Instructor Lily Christy Baludda. The students assisted in patient preparation, monitoring, health education, and other nursing care activities, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge and clinical skills in an actual community healthcare setting.
The activity highlighted the importance of collaborative community health initiatives in reaching geographically isolated areas and strengthening preventive healthcare services. It also provided nursing students with valuable experiential learning opportunities that emphasized compassion, service, teamwork, and community engagement.

Through participation in activities such as this, UC CONAHS continues to strengthen its commitment to producing socially responsive healthcare professionals equipped to address the health needs of diverse communities.
