As part of Day 2 of Communidad 2026, the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (UC CONAHS) successfully conducted a Free Medical Consultation on April 28, 2026, at the Nursing Laboratory for members of the UC community. The activity reflected the college’s commitment to health promotion, service, and experiential learning through community-centered healthcare initiatives.

The medical consultation was led by Dr. Marilou C. Cabinta and facilitated by faculty members Ms. Lily Christy Baludda and Mr. Rambo Ebbes, with the assistance of Laboratory Technician Ms. Maribel S. Certeza. Through the collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals, faculty members, student leaders, and nursing students, the activity provided accessible healthcare services to participants within the university community.

A total of 21 patients were accommodated during the activity through services such as vital sign assessment, medical consultation, and medication dispensing. Nursing students and members of the UC CONAHS Student Council actively assisted in the conduct of the activity, allowing them to apply practical nursing skills while promoting compassion, teamwork, and professionalism in healthcare delivery.
The initiative not only promoted health and wellness among members of the UC community but also strengthened student learning through hands-on participation and real-world healthcare experiences. Through activities such as the Free Medical Consultation, UC CONAHS continues to foster service-oriented healthcare education while supporting the well-being of the community.
