Strengthening clinical partnerships and ensuring quality learning experiences for UC CONAHS nursing students

The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (UC CONAHS) Dean and Level Coordinators conducted a spot checking visit to affiliate hospitals in Ilocos Sur on February 18, 2026. The activity was held at Ilocos Sur Medical Center in Candon, Ilocos Sur and Tagudin District Hospital in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.

The visit aimed to monitor the clinical learning environment, strengthen partnerships with hospital administrators and staff, and ensure that nursing students deployed in these facilities receive quality clinical exposure aligned with the standards of UC CONAHS and professional nursing practice.

Leading the visit was Dean Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, together with the UC CONAHS Level Coordinators:

During the spot checking, the UC CONAHS leadership team visited the assigned clinical areas, checked on the welfare and learning experiences of the nursing students, and coordinated with hospital personnel regarding clinical supervision, student performance, and hospital policies. These visits also served as an opportunity to reinforce collaboration between UC CONAHS and its partner healthcare institutions in delivering quality nursing education.

Through continuous monitoring and engagement with affiliate hospitals, UC CONAHS remains committed to maintaining high standards in clinical instruction while preparing future nurses who are competent, compassionate, and responsive to the health needs of communities.
