A faculty member from the University of the Cordilleras – College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (UC-CONAHS) earned recognition at Saint Louis University during the “Innovations in Creatives, Research, Extension and Technology” (iCREaTe) 2026, held from March 23 to 26, 2026.

Assistant Professor Gilbert D. Bernardino Jr. of UC-CONAHS was named one of the Best Presenters during the session featuring research from the School of Advanced Studies and the School of Medicine on March 26, 2026. His study, “Voices on Fire: Narratives on Nurse Activism Amid Power Dynamics,” was recognized for its critical insight and contribution to contemporary discourse on healthcare, power dynamics, and social transformation.

The iCREaTe 2026 conference, themed “Transforming Society Through Research, Innovation, & Extension,” gathered researchers from across disciplines to showcase innovative and impactful scholarly work. Research outputs were exhibited throughout the event, highlighting interdisciplinary approaches to addressing pressing societal challenges.
This recognition reflects UC-CONAHS’ continued commitment to advancing research excellence, fostering critical inquiry, and contributing to meaningful societal transformation through nursing scholarship.
