UC-CONAHS Faculty Completes Advanced Simulation Training on Maternal and Neonatal Care

Faculty members of the University of the Cordilleras – College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (UC-CONAHS) successfully completed the Training on the Operation and Maintenance of Noelle and Newborn Tory S575.100 – Advanced Maternal and Neonatal Care Simulation held on March 23–26, 2026, at the Nursing Laboratory (EDS 2004).

The four-day training equipped faculty members with essential knowledge and technical skills in operating, programming, and maintaining high-fidelity maternal and neonatal simulators. The Noelle maternal simulator and Newborn Tory S575.100 enable realistic simulation of labor, delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal emergencies, allowing educators to design immersive, scenario-based learning experiences for nursing students.

Through hands-on sessions and guided demonstrations, participants strengthened their competencies in simulation facilitation, equipment troubleshooting, and integration of advanced simulation technologies into the curriculum. This initiative enhances the delivery of experiential learning, ensuring that students develop critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and safe patient care practices in a controlled learning environment.

This training reflects UC-CONAHS’ continued commitment to innovation in nursing education by maximizing the use of modern simulation resources to bridge theory and clinical practice.
